I like visiting the sites of old football grounds, which were once the home to League clubs*, but now either no longer there or just a mere shadow of their former self. Sites where the fans once stood, and where the cheers of the crowds, once loud and vibrant, have now become just a distant memory and have gone in the mist of time..
(* League - as in English Premier, Football League and Nationwide Conference, Scottish Premier and Football League)
I am presently developing a site that will show all
my photos from all the football grounds I've visited - English Premiership and
Football League, Welsh Premier League, Scottish Premier League and Football
Leagues, "Lost Grounds" (The sites of former league grounds, now gone) and Non
League (around the UK)

Here is a selection of the lost grounds I've been to:
ACCRINGTON STANLEY
Taken on 8th September, 2006,
this photo is of Peel Park, which was Accrington Stanley's home from 1921 until
1962. The brick building on the left are the original changing rooms, built by
the Supporters Club in 1937.
AYR PARKHOUSE
This picture, taken on 19th
September, 2006 is of Beresford Terrace. The site of the ground of Ayr
Parhouse is on the right of the road in this photo. They played there between
1902 and 1910, before merging with Ayr FC to become Ayr United FC.
